I recently posted that I was joining the Board of a newly formed Leisure Trust in East Sussex that operates five leisure centres and caters for 750,000 customers. Well, the Board has met several times already and started to make some major strides forward towards April 1st, when we officially assume full responsibility for the centres.
After much research and scrutinising of the Patent Office for trademark availability, the new Trust is called Wave. It’s a big departure from the former name of `Community Leisure`and we think it coveys the Trust’s values really well.
Appointed Deputy Chairman
My co-Trustees invited me to become the Trust’s Deputy Chairman which is going to be a very interesting challenge. I’m really looking forward to working with the management team and bringing some entrepreneurial zeal into the organisation.
