This week’s topical word is` integration`. I have found myself using it a lot as debate continues about the bringing together or integration (there’s that word again) of Virgin Active and Holmes Place. So many questions:
How compatible are the brand values?
How sensitively will Virgin handle the process? Do they tread very carefully for those first 100 days or bludgeon their way through? One issue is how to harmonise the management salaries across the two brands. Holmes Place pays their managers more than Virgin Active. Will it be blood, tears and tribunals or a calm, sensible compromise?
How will Holmes Place members respond to becoming Virgins?
