This story caught my eye. Sharon Wright (Guardian newspaper 20th Oct 2005) describes why she can’t stick to exercise classes. She claims to burn calories writing her cheque for gym membership and then a few more getting annoyed with herself for not going. She says the only class she has ever enjoyed is pilates because everything was done very slowly and lying down! Anyway, what else can you buy for £600 these days?…300 cappuccinos (at outrageous London prices)…a wellman (women) assessment at a private clinic to confirm how unfit you are or perhaps a couple of Botox jabs. So there you are – health clubs are great value. What do you think?
