2008 sees us launch an on-going study into the online sentiment of UK consumers towards the health club experience.
Consumers are now regularly using the internet to research leisure purchases. They also use an array of web sites to submit honest 'warts and all' reviews of their experiences. These reviews can rave enthusiastically about outstanding customer service or leave them seething about unfair contract terms such as excessive notice periods when leaving a club. Until now, it was extremely time-consuming for health club brands to monitor, collect, analyse and interpret the online conversation or 'buzz' surrounding their company. However, Oxygen will now be conducting regular research into the online sentiment of consumers towards the gym experience. The research will focus on the UK's twelve leading club brands. This insight will be shared with the industry through regular research bulletins.
