Lloyd Smith (Chairman)
Lloyd is a charismatic and entrepreneurial individual who founded 3D Education and Adventure (an Oxygen client) and developed it into the UK's largest provider of courses to schools. As a highly successful subsidiary of Center Parcs UK, 3D employed a team of 650 delivering innovative and educationally challenging courses at centres across the UK and Europe. The company generated profits of £2.6 million, prior to its sale to PGL.
Lloyd has a strong track record of product and service innovation including the introduction of 'adventurous activities' at Holiday Club Pontins, which generated annual fees of £1 million. He is a champion of service excellence and has deployed creative marketing strategies to develop one of the UK's leading youth brands. Previous roles include an Executive Director of Scottish & Newcastle's leisure division and a founding Director of the British Activity Holiday Association.
Lloyd holds a Business Studies degree from Staffordshire University and completed a Strategic Marketing course at the Institute of Management Development (IMD) at Lausanne, Switzerland. He has also completed a Customer Service Excellence programme at the Disney Institute in Florida.

Since the sale of 3D Education and Adventure to PGL for £12 million, Lloyd has a little more time to watch his beloved Brighton Bears basketball team and compete in the highly challenging sport of kite surfing. |
